With Yew Sin/Ee Yi in the squad. We have three formidable partners. Zii Jia is in good form. And playing Daren as the second single gives a better chance for our third single to score a point as well.” said Rashid.
List of Players
“Strategically, it should be like this. On the other hand, those who played in the previous Thomas Cup had also matured, so it must have leveled up. One of BAM’s suggestions was to appoint a young player as the sixth single. To gain experience and exposure,” added Rasyid. Zii Jia is the world’s highest-ranked Malaysian singles at No 7, followed by Daren (No 35) and Ng Tze Yong (No 44), while the top three doubles are world No 9 Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, Ong Yew Sin – Teo Ee Yi (No. 11), and Goh Tze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani (No. 16).
