World Boxing Blair Cobbs vs Alexis Rocha 19 March

World Boxing Blair Cobbs vs Alexis Rocha March 19. – Blair Cobbs will face off against Alexis Rocha in the main event. Michael McKinson faces substitute Jesus Antonio Perez in a joint feature clash this Saturday night. Namely, on March 19, live at DAZN at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles. It’s too early for Cobbs to fight for the headliner position because he looks so flawed at this stage of his career and unprepared for this kind of attention being given to him. Cobbs, 32, and Rocha have been elevated to the main event from her previous placement in the main support fight after Vergil Ortiz Jr pulled out of his Saturday night bout against WBO #4 McKinson due to a child & muscle disease that resulted in him being briefly hospitalized.

Mckinson will be demoted from the main position to fight Jesus Antonio Perez, who is capable of additional features. It will be an interesting fight to watch as Perez can hit the punch, and he will be looking to field a defensive-minded McKinson. Although it is definitely a disappointment for McKinson to lose the high-visibility headliner against undefeated welterweight challenger Vergil Ortiz Jr. (18-0, 18 KOs), at least he’s still fighting in a good place that will allow him to show his talent against the durable Perez. It would have been better if Golden Boy Promotions accepted Blair Cobbs’ offer to fight the highly rated McKinson in the main event because it was a fight that would give him a chance to get a high rank.

Undercard fights

Because it was a fight that would give him a chance to get a high rank. As things stand, Cobbs doesn’t have much of an advantage against Rocha. This is as he’s a fringe competitor ranked #10 IBF at 147. If Cobbs fights #4 WBO McKinson, he could potentially get a top-five ranking.  He would then be on the verge of a title race against the champions. WBO 147-lb Terence Crawford. In an exciting undercard bout, aspiring light heavyweight Bektemir “Bully” Melikuziev (8-1.6 KOs) takes on the heavy-handed David Zegarra (34-7, 21 KOs) in the steamed portion of the broadcast DAZN in a 10 round fight. This fight has KO written all over it.

Bektemir, 25, will be seeking a second win in a row since losing to Gabe Rosado by third-round KO in June 2021. In that bout, Bektemir was a bit sloppy in the third round and was stopped.
