The latest Ekings badminton news reports that Thailand’s young female badminton player, “Atom” Sirada Rungpibulsophit, 16 years old, built a reputation in Thailand. She did this when winning the Junior International in Portugal.
Atom Sirada is regarded as one of the Thai badminton players. She has already produced admirable results at the international level. She is fifth in the women’s U19 singles category and has done a great job winning the 2021 Portuguese Junior International. This is a junior tournament that is part of the International Series in Portugal.

Throughout the three-day competition, where athletes had to enter the field twice a day. Atom Sirada was able to defeat his opponent until she reached the final. Before the victory over Sofia Noble, a badminton player from Ireland 2-0 games 21-17,21-11 to win the championship. She also won the women’s singles championship previously in October. This was in the badminton world championships, Viktor Denmark Jr. won the title after beating 6th seed Billkis Pracista from Indonesia in two sets 21-18 and 21-17. She dominated successfully. It was also her first time winning the World Youth Badminton Tournament.
The year 2021 is considered a golden year for Thai badminton players. After the mixed doubles’ success, “bas-pop” swept 4 consecutive championships within 4 weeks in Indonesia. This included the Hilo Open, Indonesia Masters, Indonesia Open, and HSBC. BWF World Tour Finals with the podium as the No. 1 Mixed Doubles in the world.
While on the rising star’s shore, female and male singles, such as “Mew” Pornpawee Chochuwong and “View” Kulwut Withitsan, also entered a deep circle inflatable obstacle course. During the World Tour Finals tournament, on the side of “View” Kulwut received the award for the best young badminton player of the year from the World Badminton Federation as well.
