Real Madrid Celebrate 120th Anniversary by Launching a New Home Kit
La Liga champions Real Madrid and Adidas have unveiled Los Blancos’ home kit for the 2022-23 campaign. The strip pays homage to the club’s history as they mark their 120th anniversary. Won a spectacular 35 league titles along with 13 European crowns since its founding in 1902. Since its inception, Real has been known for its iconic white jersey. This new version features purple detailing on the collar, the traditional Adidas three stripes on the shoulders, and the white club logo all over the shirt. Carlo Ancelotti led Real to another league title this season. They did with a 4-0 win over Espanyol last month.
The Spanish giants will conclude their domestic campaign at home to Real Betis on Friday evening. So before preparations begin in earnest for their Champions League final encounter with Liverpool on Saturday, 28 May. This match will be a repeat of the 2018 match where Los Merengues won 3-1 in Kiev. So this season’s Champions League marksman Karim Benzema was on the scoresheet on the day, and France forward will once again hope to have a big say in the outcome when Ancelotti’s men travel to Paris.
Ahead of next season, Madrid fans will be excited to see if Kylian Mbappe’s name will be emblazoned on the new jersey. The French superstar has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The most likely destination in the news is the Bernabeu. So Mbappe’s contract expires next month, and the football world will be waiting to see if he will wear the new Madrid shirt in a significant year in their history.
Exception For Bale
One player who will not wear the strip is Gareth Bale after the Welshman’s agent confirmed he would leave the club when his contract expires this summer. Gareth Bale will leave Real Madrid after nine years of living in the Spanish capital. So the Welshman has won four Champions League titles since moving to Los Blancos for a world record ÂŁ85m fee in 2013. He is available free of charge when his contract expires at the end of the season.
That has opened the door for the club to contest the 32-year-old’s signature, with his agent Jonathan Barnett confirming he will be leaving Real. Bale’s representative said. Gareth will leave Real Madrid. In my opinion, his return to English football is possible, but his future now depends on Wales and their play-offs for the World Cup. We see what can happen next for the Wales talisman after he fell out of favor at the Bernabeu.
