Today’s football news, Premier League EKings News revealed that Manchester United made an offer of 55 million pounds to grab the Brazilian striker Evanilson. The offer was, however, rejected by Porto. Manchester United plans to make a new offer for the 22-year-old forward.
Manchester United will reportedly continue their pursuit of Evanilson as their new striker. Porto turned down the initial offer of £55million. The 22-year-old Brazilian scored 21 goals for the Portuguese champions last season. He is clearly on Erik ten Hag’s wish list as he rebuilds his legacy at Old Trafford.
A Portuguese newspaper reports that Porto has turned down one offer, but United are determined to return with a new offer. They added that Porto had priced the player at nearly £70m, a price that is clearly feared by Premier League clubs. Clubs such as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton, who are also following Evanilson. with an interest in buying him.
Porto wants to keep Evanilson, whose contract expires in 2025. It is believed that an improved offer from United will test their hearts. While Erik ten Hag’s main focus this summer is to sign a central midfielder.
